Crowdfunding to Build Independence with Seed&Spark

SEED&SPARK‘s cornerstone class clearly lays out the steps toward a successful crowdfunding campaign, as well as the intersection between crowdfunding, audience connection, and career independence. Skills discussed: gathering true fans; identifying a useful and realistic campaign goal; creating a pitch video with a punch; and delivering on the promises of your current campaign to ensure future success.

JULIE KECK is a Chicago-based filmmaker and educator who now travels the country as the Head of Education & Outreach for Seed&Spark. Prior to joining the company, she  ran or consulted on crowdfunding campaigns that have raised over $300k. She is the writer/producer of over 25 films and web series, as well as the co-author of Social Media Charm School. Her most recent series, Fck Yes, is an adult sex ed series focused on consent; Season 2 will soon join Season 1 on Seed&Spark. Play with Julie on social: @kingisafink


Attend this event with a Festival Pass or $10 Day Pass

Festival Passes can be picked up at Will Call the day of the event. Events are first come first serve so you will need to arrive early. There will be two lines, one for Festival Pass holders and one to buy a ticket. Festival Pass holders will be given priority seating, and the ticket line will open 10 minutes before the event. Once the ticket line has been opened, there is no guarantee of admission with a Festival Pass.
